Day 6

So day 6 is another weigh in day. But I have heard various things about water retention and weight gain on day 6 so I have decided not to be disappointed and wait till the end of the cleanse to weigh myself. It was hard believe me every time I enter the bathroom I swear I can hear those bathroom scales calling my name.

Talking about the bathroom. It’s incredibly hard to avoid it now with such a high water intake. I’ll leave that with you…

Well I attended a fitness class. A round of applause would be appreciated. Trust me it was hard to finally take that step. Talking to someone who hasn’t stepped foot near anything that resembles any sort of physical exercise since she was 17. Trust me you can do it. So boogie bounce is pretty good. It’s 30 mins so isn’t to much and it’s on trampolines so my own weight doesn’t cripple my poor ankles. I did get a trampoline at the very back so no one had to deal with my heavy panting and sweating.

Day 4+5

Kinda cheating here doing 2 days in one post but oh well. Time ran away with me yesterday and before I realised it I was cozied up just away to drift off and boom. I remembered. So I apologies! Plus days 4 and 5 were much and much the same really πŸ˜‰

Anyway so how is this cleanse going I hear you ask? Bet she’s bored now I hear you say. Nope not in the slightest and the cleanse is going fantastic thank you for asking. I still feel just as amazing. Full of energy, refreshed and ready to take on the day.

I worried I would start to get bored. That maybe it was a novelty and I would stop because believe me I am well known for that. I’m like a 5 year old child. That has no attention span and once I’ve played with something once I have to move on with the next thing. However, in this case it’s quite the opposite. I’m actually slightly worried about how I’ll cope after the 9 days. Where do I go from here?

My feeling is that this cleanse has shifted my thinking in the way I feel about food. I don’t need the whole pack of Jaffa cakes in one sit in. 2 will suffice. I can go for a walk with my boyfriend and enjoy mild exercise. I don’t need to be hitting it hard in the gym to be exercising.

Also meals. Simple things like switching to low fat or half fat can save you sooo much calories. Also quorn. It’s vegetarian mince and if your worried about it tasting different I gave it to my boyfriend and he didn’t have a clue. ( sorry Jamie)

So basically half way through the cleanse and loving it!

Day 3

Well day 3 is weigh in day and I’m super pleased to say that I have lost a total of 4lbs and 7.5 inches from over my body, and to top it all off I feel amazing. Everyone said “the weight loss is just an extra bonus, the main thing is how great you feel”, and I was like all hell no I’m in it for the weight loss. Well wrong this feeling is the best!

Day 3 is also where the programme chances slightly. You can also drink a shake in the morning as well as lunch time. You eat a 600cal meal at dinner time and best of all you only take the aloe Vera gel once a day instead of four times a day. A chorus of hallelujahs to that please. And that 600cal meal was the best meal I’ve ever heard. I made chilli con carne. Tota led to just shy of 500 cal so was very pleased. I’ll make another blog soon about 600 cal meals for those interested.

Day 3 is also where you step up your exercise game. Small confession. None was attempted yesterday πŸ™Š. My defence it was Sunday. Who exercises on a Sunday? Day of rest right? But that will change. I hope. I’m booked into various exercise classes this week. Boogie Bounce Xtreme being one. Which is more fun than exercise.

Overall can’t recommended this product more. If you’re looking for a change in your lifestyle this is the way to go. Go!

Day 2

Well day 2 definitely went better than day 1. Didn’t feel hungry in the slightest and didn’t have the burning urge to stuff my face with everything insight. Even managed to go for our weekly shop, and not one bar of chocolate in the trolley.
Overall I feel great. The constant bloating I seem to have is no more. The eczema on my hands has cleared up without the use of steroid creams in 2 days. Which is basically unheard of. I have bags of energy woke up this morning and did a load of housework and it’s not even 8 o’clock yet. And most surprisingly of all I’m even considering possibly maybe going for a swim. Which if you have read my previous posts you will know that me and exercise is basically like seeing snow in July!
I have improvised my shakes and added some strawberries and blueberries which are on the free list of foods. On days 1 and 2 your only allowed a shake at lunch time and that leaves me feeling full for hours.

Although can’t say I’m not looking forward to the 600 calorie meal on day 3. Food is never going to taste as good as that will. Basically having big dog drools at the thought. Day 3 is also weigh in day. Very excited to see the results πŸ™‚

Cleanse Day 1

It’s here. Finally day 1. The first day of the new me. The exercise fanatic, junk food eating hating me. It’s been tough. Not gonna lie. However, the booklet encourages you to take before and after photos of yourself and take all your measurements. Which has spurred me on slighty. Look below surely that would spur you on.

So some of you may already know what day 1 and 2 consist of. Basically it is the main part of the detox. You don’t eat. The main stable of the 2 days is the aloe Vera gel. Which by the way taste like something that crawled out the sewer. However, the health benefits far outweigh this. I’m sure…. My top tip for the aloe gel is to take it through a straw and hold your nose. Big glass of water afterwards. Be prepared you may well be sick.
Here is what days 1 and 2 have install for you.

Believe me you look forward to that shake at lunch time. Something that taste remotely like food. I have the vanilla shakes and use almond milk. Taste surprisingly nice. Highly recommend. So the one thing that’s surprised me the most is that I’m genuinely not hungry. Although I feel starving. Like I don’t need food but I want food. Badly. I keep thinking of all the foods I took for granted when I could eat. Crackers and cheese. Hummus and sweet thai crisps. Chocolate. And my biggest love coffee. Any coffee, latte, cappuccino, espresso and coffee syrups which have basically fallen from heaven. I suppose this is just the food addicts versions of withdrawal. It’s slightly unfair you know. If you were an alcoholic you’d stop drinking. Smoker you’d stop smoking. If you’re a food addict you can’t just stop eating!

The Cleanse…. (Darth Vader voice)

So what is a cleanse I can hear you say?
First of all it is not a fad diet. It’s not a quick fix. It’s a detox. It’s a 9 day detox to rid your body of all the toxins that have built up through years of our highly convenient quick food culture.
Although I’m not highly knowledgeable about it. I have researched and read many reviews on the C9 cleanse.

Hello….

Firstly a bit about me. My names Becca I’m 22 and live in the not so picturesque sea side town of Buckie. I live with my lovely boyfriend of 6 months, Jamie. Β And as you can probably guess by the name of this blog. I am a self confessed food addict.

IMG_2472-0

Food pretty much takes up most of my daily thoughts. Where I’ll eat. What I’ll eat. Who I’ll eat with. When I’ll buy food. Where I’ll buy food. The list pretty much goes on. And on. And on. I love food. It’s like a best friend. It’s there when your happy, it’s there when your sad, and it never answers you back.

I also have one arch enemy. Exercise. I don’t like it. I don’t like it all. The collapsed lung feeling you get after 3 minutes of what others call ‘moderate exercise’. The apparent ‘glow’ aka sweat rash. And my personal favourite the sympathetic looks you get from the regular gym goers as you work out how exactly the treadmill moves.

So, in light of this problematic relationship I have with food and exercise. I have decided to give myself a kick up the butt. Turn the tables on my loves and hates. So I’ll begin my journey with a cleanse. Not just any cleanse a C9 forever living cleanse (I’ll explain further in another post). In the hope that this will kick start a healthier and lighter me. We’ll see…
